About Us
LifeCircle engages family members, friends and community in supporting people in Australia to live well, right to the end. LifeCircle volunteer mentors, telephone support and community ambassadors support resilience, connectivity and conversations among family members and friends who are involved in the caring journey, helping people to flourish through the later stages. This creates a virtuous circle in which each person’s life is enriched, the person ill or in later stages of life, their families, peers and younger generations.
Through its award-winning Life Matters educational events, LifeCircle also helps to improve the quality of life for all Australians by helping people to plan for the later years and understand how to create a ‘good end’.
LifeCircle Australia Limited arose from the merger on July 1, 2011 of Home Hospice and Life Goes On, two founder-inspired organisations supporting people affected by life-threatening or terminal illness. Social Ventures Australia, a major supporter of Home Hospice, introduced Life Goes On to complement the work that Home Hospice had been engaged in for nearly thirty years, and to support scaling its work nationally. Home Hospice’s Mentors and Life Goes On’s Telephone Support Volunteers have impacted 35,000 families over the past decade. The demand for LifeCircle’s work is increasing with the ageing population.
